Hospitality Properties Trust (NYSE: HPT) today announced that it has
been named one of the 100 Most Trustworthy Companies in America for 2016
by Forbes Magazine. HPT was one of 38 mid cap companies ($1
billion to $5 billion market capitalization) and the only real estate
investment trust, or REIT, to be selected to this year’s list.
To create this list, MSCI ESG Research screened more than 2,500
publicly-traded non-financial American companies with market caps of
$250 million or more to identify the 100 that most “consistently
demonstrated transparent accounting practices and solid corporate
governance.”
