Hospitality Properties Trust Second Quarter Conference Call Scheduled for Tuesday, August 12th

NEWTON, Mass.-August 5, 2008-Hospitality Properties Trust (NYSE: HPT) today announced that it will host a conference call in conjunction with the announcement of its second quarter 2008 financial results.

HPT plans to issue a press release containing its second quarter results after the NYSE closes on Monday, August 11, 2008. On Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, John Murray, President and Chief Operating Officer, and Mark Kleifges, Chief Financial Officer, will host a conference call to discuss the second quarter results. Following the company's remarks, there will be a short question and answer period.

The conference call telephone number is (888) 637-7725. Participants calling from outside the United States and Canada should dial (913) 312-0866. No pass code is necessary to access the call from either number. Participants should dial in about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the call.
